Colour Magic Interior Design was launched in 2002 and initially only covered Interior Design Consultations, but in 2014 the Home Staging part of Colour Magic began and our great team was formed. Now, our warehouse in the Mornington Industrial Park holds sufficient furniture for up to 14 properties, and we’re receiving accolades from all over.
The biggest decision a home-maker has to make is whether to go on the market with their property as it is, or whether to invest a small amount in the process, to gain a large amount in the outcome.
Home Staging is the art of transforming an empty property, which can feel drab and soul-less, and giving it life by adding character, interesting furniture, texture and colour, and by maximizing every square inch of the home. This allows buyers who visit on Open Day to see themselves and their families living in the property.
Our Colour Magic Team mostly stage properties which are empty. This can be for a number of reasons: sometimes because the vendors have already relocated to their new home; or the property has been rented and the tenants have vacated; or the property forms part of a deceased estate. Whatever the reason, empty properties are quite uninspiring and can be really hard for estate agents to sell.
Occasionally, our team are asked to do a ‘partial stage’ to supplement the vendor’s own furniture with additional pieces of interest. Much of our furniture is from the unique Colour Magic Furniture Collection which is sold on our website. It’s Spanish designed, quirky and full of character, and a few pieces can make a massive difference to lift the presentation of a home going on the market. Plus our soft furnishings and linen are of exceptional quality, and the art is bold and eye-catching.
Although usually engaged by estate agents, we’re sometimes contacted directly by the vendors. Our quoting consultations take approximately 30 minutes, are completely free and are followed up by a written quotation on the same day.
